  • Dr. Elisa Bertino visited LIISP/DICyDER center (November 30, 2007)

    LIISP/DICyDER hosted distinguished scientist Dr. Elisa Bertino, Research Professor from Purdue University as a special speaker at the graduate seminar on Friday, November 30, 2007. R. Bertino is the author of over 400 major publications and she presented her research "Digital Identity Management and Protection". Dr. Bertino also spent valuable time with the members of LIISP/DICyDER and expressed interest in possible collaborations.

  • Napoleon's Presentation at Elizabeth City State University (January 27, 2007)



    Napoleon Paxton spoke to the Undergraduate Research students at Elizabeth City State University in the Center of Excellence in Remote Sensing Education and Research (CERSER) lab of Dixon Hall. He spoke to the students about the opportunities available at the graduate school at UNCC and the graduate school experience, why you should go to graduate school, and how to transition from being an undergraduate to being a graduate student.

  • Internet Identity Workshop 2006 (May 2, 2006)



    Dr. Gail-Joon Ahn, Moonam Ko and Mitesh Doshi demonstrate an Open Source Implementation of InfoCard at the Internet Identity Workshop 2006. The demo included logging into a site using a selected InfoCard, creating cards, and interacting with identity providers and relying parties in a couple of scenarios.

  • Napoleon Paxton receives prestigious NASA Fellowship


    Napoleon Paxton pictured with Dr. Harriett G. Jenkins at the fellowship orientation

    Napoleon Paxton, a PhD student under the direction of Dr. Gail-Joon Ahn, was selected as a NASA Harriet G. Jenkins Fellow. The Harriett G. Jenkins Fellowship Program (JPFP) provides full-time graduate students who are in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) with financial support for their education in NASA-related disciplines. 20 students were selected out of more than 1,000 applicants.
    Napoleon and Dr. Ahn are working on research issues in network and systems assurance
