Workshop on Security and Privacy in
Online Social Networking 2009

The Workshop on Security and Privacy in Online Social Networking 2009 will take place in Vancouver, Canada, in August 29, 2009. The target audience will be university researchers, scientists, industry professionals, software engineers, and graduate students who need to become acquainted with new theories and technologies related to security and privacy challenges in online social networks.
The workshop will be one full day, and will be composed of presentations by participants followed by organized discussions and a panel. The participants will be broken into several subgroups, depending on the size of the workshop and topics of interest. Each group will then discuss one or two open research problems, discuss the related solutions from various areas of computing, and brainstorm potential collaborative approaches for advancing the research. These ideas will then be shared with the entire workshop and concluded with final discussions.
